Creating a Plan

You have already defined your Portal Purpose and identified and addressed your current Issues in your Issues List.
The rest of Part Two deals with the steps you will take. Your plan should address each of the steps before you begin the work of building and deploying your Portal. Investing time in creating a detailed plan is well worth the effort – you will know what you need to do and how long it will take before you begin. You will also have identified the risks and issues associated with your plan and thought about ways to avoid them or minimize them.
Each section provides you guidance in planning, designing and deploying your Portal. Follow through with each section on your road to a successful implementation. You can download this template to use in documenting your plan or work from the sample plans in the Additional Resources section.
